Character

This dark red wine comes across as fruity, balanced and rich. Its intense bouquet is dominated by notes of plum, sour cherry, cassis and blackberry, with spicy notes of vanilla and liquorice. These powerful fruit and spice notes are reproduced on the palate, where they are framed by a lively freshness, juicy tannins and a very soft, full and harmonious body.

Region

Aragon

Producer/Brand

Bodegas Alto Moncayo

Alto Moncayo is the premium brand of Bodega Borsao. It was founded in 2002 and covers 60 hectares of vineyards – exclusively planted with 30 to 100-year-old Garnacha vines of the very finest quality. Everything here revolves around perfecting the Garnacha grape. And the results are highly successful, too: thanks to being aged in new barriques for between 16 and 24 months, the wines mature to create an incredibly full, dense and fabulously fruity taste.
